Hello, my name is Jason
Jordan. I live in Denton, Texas with my wife
Erin. I teach English and Social Studies at Decatur High School. I am
by no means a politician.
I made the decision to run for State House of
Representatives because I found myself more and more convinced that our government does not represent the interests of
regular, everyday people. People like me. At
the same time, I tell my students every year that we live in the
greatest nation in the world because of the voice that we each have. When
I thought about all of the reasons not to run for office: my age, my
lack of experience, lack of major party affiliation, lack of money; I
realized that what might seem as weaknesses, are really badges of
honor. I am young. I do not affiliate with any single political group,
nor do I have any far-reaching political ambitions. I am by no means
wealthy.
I believe these qualities make me the most
qualified candidate to truly represent the needs and concerns of all
Texans.
